Washington DC Tops Best Cities for Finding Love in 2016

According to a recent study by online real estate firm Zillow, Washington DC may be your best bet for making a romantic connection this year. The company studied a slew of cities, ranking the ones that offer single residents the highest odds of finding love. Factors include each city's percentage of singles, the percentage of singles who relocated to these towns in the past year, median disposable income of single residents and the number of great date spots per capita. The top 10 cities for lovelorn are:

          1.  Washington DC

Singles: 71% of total residents

New single residents (who moved to town in the past year): 8.4%

Disposable income: $25,915 (median income minus median rent)

Potential date spots: 44 per 10,000 people

  2.  Atlanta, Georgia

Singles: 70% of total residents

New single residents (who moved to town in the past year): 9.5%

Disposable income: $24,079 (median income minus median rent)

Potential date spots: 39 per 10,000 people

  3.  Boston, Massachusetts

Singles: 69% of total residents

New single residents (who moved to town in the past year): 10.1%

Disposable income: $13,835 (median income minus median rent)

        Singles: 68% of total residents

New single residents (who moved to town in the past year): 8%
